Holley or Edelbrock EFI kit?
I wasn't working on it, but I do believe it was a Holley kit.

It's amazing (shockingly so) how good those kits work.

back in the day, a buddy of mine bought one from a farmer (farmer said, if you tow it, you can have it)...it was a project car...took about 2 years to restore, but when it was done, OMG was it all kinds of awesome...i think his was a '68, but essentially the same as shown here...he painted his orange, kind of like the General Lee (but didn't have the confederate flag and numbers on it)...it also has the 440 6 pack on it and made all kinds of angry noise when you stomped on it...at one time, i rode my motorcycle beside it, which had loud pipes and was quite loud itself, but all i could hear was the fury from his engine when we took off from a set of lights one time...it was scary.  ;D

I always wondered about those kits.

There is a guy in town with a 69 or 70 Chevelle. He dropped in a slightly built 454 and a Holley kit, he says it was the best thing hes installed in the car. No more screwing around with carbs, wondering if it will idle, awesome.

Like if you have some high dollar, numbers matching, "they only built 3 of these" type of car, leave it alone. If you built some sad, 6 cylinder, stripped deluxe model up, no second thoughts.

Oh I'd do it in the matching numbers car too..100 percent, no doubt about it....so I could better enjoy the performance of the car.

When it's time to sell, just put it back to stock.

Thats why I wouldn't want something that valuable....I would be too scared to stand near it. Nope, I would rather build something than buy a car for investment purposes.

And not drive it?

IMO, there's no point to owning it.

My brothers Stang was one of 3. And it got driven every day.

Someone backed into my Supra in a parking lot one time we went to dinner. I was furious.

But I can't imagine NOT driving it.

Like I would drive them, but it would be just on weekends when the barometric pressure is right and most of the gravel is off the roads.....and no mall parking lots.
