The “most driver-focussed” members of Rolls-Royce’s Phantom family moves into 2014 with trim and option updates.
The Phantom Coupé and Drophead Coupé convertible are powered by a 6.75L V12 making 453 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission connects the engine to the rear wheels.
The interior is swathed in hand-stitched leather that takes two weeks to sew together, from nine(!) hides. Other standard and optional features include heated front and rear seats, wood trim, 8.8-inch control centre display, 360-degree parking cameras, picnic boot with seating platform, multi-zone automatic climate control, self-righting wheelcap logos and an electric Spirit of Ecstacy hood ornament that flips out of sight when the car is parked, to prevent theft. Rolls-Royce’s bespoke program allows lucky buyers nearly endless possibilities for customizing a new Roller.
