Not all yet however. Not sure why it's taking so long
The last time I was out there was June 2010, you would think it would be done by now

Just got back from Montreal.  Forgot it takes less than 6 hours when you don't bring the kids!  6.3L/100km on the way there, 5.9L/100km on the way back.  Cruise at 120km/h!

Hey SHB

And also the cider?

Is it too early for flapjacks?

So... I'm hiking in THIS tomorrow.  Shouldn't be more than a few hours, I wouldn't think.  I talked our hike leader into cancelling the 14K that was planned, and now we're just doing a quick toodle in a conservation area, sheltered from the wind.  I'm thankful that I've got the gear!  I bought some amazing TNF Steep Series insulated Gore-TEX snow pants this past summer (at a wicked discount, of course).  They will be getting their first workout.   :D

Very cold wind chill values between about minus 30 and minus 35 are expected overnight and Saturday morning. Wind chill conditions will improve only marginally on Saturday afternoon, then fall below minus 30 again on Saturday night in most locales. Some improvement is expected on Sunday.

While anyone who isn't dressed warmly is at risk in cold weather conditions, some are at greater risk than others for frost bite and hypothermia:
- homeless people
- outdoor workers
- people living in homes that are poorly insulated (with no heat or no power)
- people with certain medical conditions such as diabetes, peripheral neuropathy and diseases affecting the blood vessels, people taking certain medications including beta-blockers
- winter sport enthusiasts
- people who consume excess alcohol
- infants and
- seniors.

Wear appropriate clothing.
- Always wear clothing appropriate for the weather. Synthetic and wool fabrics provide better insulation. Some synthetic fabrics are designed to keep perspiration away from your body which keep you dry and further reduce your risk.
- Dress in layers with a wind resistant outer layer. You can remove layers if you get too warm (before you start sweating) or add a layer if you get cold.
- Wear warm socks, gloves, a hat and scarf in cold weather. Be sure to cover your nose to protect it.
- If you get wet, change into dry clothing as soon as possible. You lose heat faster when you're wet.

I've done it. No big deal, IMO.

The dryer takes off most of the water. Just open the doors afterwards and wipe off the door sills and seals so they don't freeze shut.

You're right Brig, I won't care whatsoever.  You should see the Infiniti right now after our road trip to Quebec City........I swear to freakin' god that I think northern NB actually uses mud as a substitute for sand on the roads.   :o

My boarder and former colleague got fed up with not being able to find work and left for his sister's place in Calgary. He may end up returning to Fredericton.

Over a year without finding a job. It's really a bad situation.

Back to an empty house.
