Korean automaker Hyundai yanked the covers off its all-new Tucson compact crossover today at the Geneva auto show. The new design incorporates upscale cues that links it to the Genesis sedan, and the larger Santa Fe crossover; another change is the adoption of the Tucson name for the European market, where this model was previously known as the ix35.

Don’t count on either of the diesel engines announced for Euro markets to make it here, but we can probably count on seeing the 1.6L turbo and 2.4L four-cylinder engines that will also be offered overseas.

The North American version of the Tucson will be revealed next month at the New York auto show.
