Infiniti has pulled the wraps off its QX30 compact crossover concept at the Geneva auto show, and we now know just how closely related it is to the Mercedes GLA-Class with which it shares its platform.
Beyond revealing that the QX30 concept does indeed have a front as well as a rear, we’ve learned the production version of the QX30 (which goes on sale next year) will use the GLA’s turbo four-cylinder, seven-speed automatic and all-wheel drivetrain.
We now also know the concept’s exterior dimensions, which, at 4430 mm (174.3 in.) long, 1815 mm (71.4 in.) wide and 1520 mm (59.9 in.) high, are nearly identical to the GLA’s.
This little thing looks good, not to mention pretty close to production-ready. With 192 mm (7.6 in.) of ground clearance, there’s the usual compact crossover pretense of off-road capability, but the size similarities to the GLA suggests the the production model will be strictly a pavement-pounder.
