For 2012, the Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class undergoes trim revisions. The AMG styling package is now standard, the media interface connections move to the centre console, and a single-disc player replaces the six-CD changer.
Option package changes include a revised Premium Package of Parktronic, garage door opener, electronic compass, panoramic sunroof, power liftgate, headlamp washers, cornering lights and active bi-xenon headlamps; and a revised COMAND Navigation Package of COMAND APS with hard disc drive navigation, DVD changer, voice control and media interface. New packages include the Convenience Package of power-adjustable driver’s seat, memory package with power steering column, Keyless Go, storage box under driver’s seat, power lumbar support and 115-volt power socket; a new Leather Package of leather upholstery and interior lighting package; and an Entertainment Package of Sirius satellite radio and Harman/Kardon Logic7 surround sound system. The AMG Sport Package, 19-inch wheel package and bi-xenon headlamp package are discontinued, while 20-inch AMG twin five-spoke wheels are a new stand-alone option.
The GLK-Class comes as the GLK350, with 3.5-litre V6 and seven-speed automatic transmission. It comes in a single trim line, in rear-wheel or 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
Standard features include 20-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input, central COMAND controller, AMG styling package, Bluetooth connectivity, privacy glass, heated power-folding mirrors, roof rails, rain-sensing wipers, heated washers, ten-way power heated Artico leather seats, tilt and telescopic multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel, black ash wood trim, auto-dimming mirrors, power windows with auto up/down, split-folding rear seats, cargo cover, floor mats, keyless entry, automatic headlamps, cruise control, anti-theft alarm system, and tire pressure loss warning.
