After a single generation of production and declining sales, 2014 will be the last model year of production for Toyota’s Wrangler competitor.

AutoGuide is reporting next year will be the finale for what was once a very popular and promising off-roader. According to Toyota’s fleet site, orders for the FJ Cruiser will close for good in June 2014.

After a successful run following its introduction, FJ Cruiser sales tanked in 2008 and haven’t really recovered. The white-topped SUV, meant to be a utilitarian Japanese alternative to the Wrangler, only managed to find 726 owners last year in Canada.
