At January’s Detroit auto show, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ (FCA) Ram Truck division revealed the Ram 1500 Rebel, a version of its light-duty pickup dressed up for the extreme sports crowd, complete with 33-inch tires, prominent silver front skid plate, front tow hooks, and a trim-unique 17-inch wheel design.

Today, FCA announced a starting price for the Rebel of $51,895 with the 3.6L “Pentastar” V6, and $52,895 with the 5.7L Hemi V8.

Though the Rebel reads like an analog of Baja-busting Ford’s SVT Raptor, it’s really not even close, lacking that truck’s long-travel suspension, extra-wide track, or pumped-up motor; FCA says this trim is aimed more at folks who are into stuff like jet skis, snowmobiles, four-wheelers and dirtbikes. If it’s not built for extreme off-roading, its styling is extremely imposing, though we’re not sure about that big black maw of a grille. Interior accents include red-and-black leather seats with fabric inserts, grey stitching, and the Ram logo embroidered into the headrests.

Another late addition to the 2015 Ram line is the 1500 Laramie Limited trim, which FCA calls “the benchmark in truck opulence.” Pegged as a luxury alternative to the Laramie Longhorn, the new Limited model also gets a grille that breaks away from Ram’s usual crosshair design, substituting a chromed ‘RAM’ logo framed in another boatload of chrome. Inside, there’s full-leather seating, real wood trim, stitching, silver pinstriping, Berber carpet inserts—wait, are we describing a pickup truck here, or a sketchy Vegas strip joint?

No, these are definitely premium strippers: pricing starts at $59,995 for a 4×2 model with the Hemi V8, or $63,845 with the 3.0L EcoDiesel V6; 4×4 models add $4,000 to those MSRPs (which don’t include $1,695 freight). Laramie Limited trim is available only in Crew Cab form, which means that, yup, you can give the girls a ride home after the show.
