The most exciting thing about Super Bowl season for many of us auto-nerds is seeing what all the big names in the industry are going to reveal or announce via their high-budget commercials. This year was no different. Nissan has just confirmed the all-new 2016 Nissan Maxima, their flagship sorts sedan, did indeed make an appearance near the end of their emotionally charged “With Dad” Super Bowl ad.
First seen as Nissan’s Sports Sedan Concept in the metal and flesh at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, it’s set to make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in April.
The new Maxima heavily features Nissan’s design elements – including the aggressively shaped V-motion front end and their “floating roof” design first seen on the 2015 Murano. We do recommend watching the entire ad but if you’re in a rush and want to skip to the straight goods, skip to the 1m15s mark in the video to take a quick look at Nissan’s flagship sports sedan. Let us know what you think.
