Alfa’s next North American bound model expected to debut in 2015

The Alfa Romeo midsize sedan, to be revealed in 2015, will get two gasoline and one diesel engine.

The top model, powered by a modified version of the 3.0L V6 Ferrari builds for Maserati, will pump out 480 hp from 2.9 litres of displacement thanks to twin turbochargers.

The two other engines, a 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine and 2.2L turbodiesel, will also debut in the new unnamed midsize sedan and will likely make up the majority of sales. The gasoline engine will come in multiple tunes ranging from 180 hp to 330 hp while the diesel will produce between 135 hp to 210 hp.

Another diesel, a 3.0L V6 turbo mill, will be offered in other models. It will be based on the same engine used other FCA products, such as the Ram EcoDiesel and Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel, and produce 340 hp.
