68K and it's still a Chrysler under the skin.  ???
Old Jag convertible...one itch I won't have to scratch again.

Technically it's still Benz under the skin  :rofl2:  Next one will be all Italian under the skin  :rofl2:

Pretty decent gas mileage for the Hemi though, my current tank is ~12L/100km... with winter tires still & the Thule on the roof. I do a lot more city driving though & have a very short commute to & from work.

To be fair, JEEPS sell like hotcakes, so according to supply and demand, the high price is likely justified.

If I were into SUVs I'd give one of these a serious look.  Something with a hotted up V8.  Probably the only Chrysler I'd ever consider owning.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Agreed.   And the sales numbers seem to support this.
Looks good (IMO), size is just right (Tahoe would be too big for my fam), and a V8.     Would certainly be on my radar for next family rig assuming the formula, namely V8, remains the same.

SRT or the upcoming Hellcat.  ;D

Back in the 90's/early 2000's when these things were ubiquitous in the yacht club parking lot a friend of mine summed  them up pretty well. he said.......

"really nice vehicle...too bad they're built out of 2nd rate parts with 3rd rate workmanship by a 4th rate manufacturer"  ;D

I'd look for a used Summit: http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Jeep/Grand+Cherokee/Trenton/Ontario/5_30632380_ON20080205094253125/?ursrc=hl&showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=5_15_31

Pricey when new, but drops quite a bit a year or two old.

I paid less than that for my Ecodiesel last June with only 1015kms on the clock & it's optioned exactly the same  :rofl2:  Agree though, still a good deal over new, considering this thing would've been ~$70k before taxes!  :fall:

I'm sure this is a very nice vehicle but being a Fiatsler, way too many electronic things that can catch on fire/not work. Sorry, the Grand I want is a ZJ 5.9 Limited, a Chrysler 360 is about as "bulletproof" as a Chrysler can get.

This, but with better tires.
Lighten up Francis.....

Man, I loved that 5.9 Limited. Would still like to pick one up as a winter beater if I could find one in decent shape.

Nah....The big problem with Benz is that they bought Chyrsler to fix it and instead got infected by the Chrysler disease before they could get clear.  ;D

Agreed that the Fiatsler reliability and sales experience would probably be a dealbreaker if I was in the market for a 70K luxury(ish), off-road capable SUV.

But while I won't go full Evil_Twin on this response  ;), what other competitors would actually be reliable?
X5?  Nope.
ML / GLC?  Best left unsaid...
Touraeg?  No.
LR/RR?  Hell no.
The previous generation  of YuHoe seemed pretty reliable, but current reliability doesn't seem very good.

You're pretty much stuck with a GX460 / V8 4runner (if still available).

I'm with ya, the Germans are a lease option at best but sitting around in a service area, as pretty and stocked with pastries as it might be, would not be a good time for me. Older Yuhoe would be my first pick....or a Lexus LX.
