I always look forward to the annual European Classic Car Show put on by the Vintage Sports Car Club of Calgary and held in Stanely Park. There is always something rare that one wouldn’t expect to see out here in Western Canada. This year was no exception and one such car was this 1966 ISO Grifo. It sports a Chevrolet V8 engine and Italian styling and is 1 of only 412 Grifos built. Amazingly the owner has another, this time a big block version, under restoration. But that wasn’t all of course so check out the full gallery as well as a selected sample below. http://www.flickr.com/photos/daveseven/sets/72157630836913074/

Those rear lights look like they were sourced from the Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV

No less than three Sevens in the show (plus a bonus Caterham in the parking area) including this right hand drive Westfield.

A beautiful 1965 DKW Hummel Model 155 – a very stylized moped. I love the rather Art Deco styling. I don’t know how rare it would be but I can’t imagine it is a common sight anywhere.

There was a full contingent of exotics including this lovely 1966 Lamborghini 400 GT.

Very rarely seen these days is a 1982 Rover 3500 SE – also known as the SD1.

Another uncommon sight was this mint looking North American spec 1978 Capri II.

A very rare SS100 with the larger 3.5L engine.

Everyone loves a microcar – this 1956 Messerschmitt KR200 proved to be quite popular with people surrounding it all day.

Lots of neat cars parked outside the show including this Jensen Interceptor Convertible and
