What does IMO mean

I will probably kick myself when I find out but I see the term IMO used in many forums and I cannot figure out what this means. It is starting to drive me nuts.

Here is a couple of examples:

1)I took time to check out the 06 Hondas yesterday,  I like the Civic a lot, they have really modernized this car, the new tailights on the Accord is all that car needed IMO, very nice.  The new Pilot's front end look is "mean looking", nice rework.

2)Now if only they could make school crossing guards the same way.  Having two paid crossing guards at a local school for one crosswalk is overkill IMO.

Please tell me. I get my boots on to prepare for the kicking.

That was quite simple IMO. I think I deserve a kick IMO.

I think when writing forums it it pretty obvious that it is just your opinion so it seem silly to state it. But that is just IMO.

You'd think.  But often great arguments can ensue because other posters think you're spewing facts rather than your opinion.

Oh joy! One of my pet peeves is when people rant on and make unsubstantiated statements. It is very easy to add "in my opinion" to their posts. I will always call people on this if I see it. Back it up or shut the fack up.

Actually it may not be a bad idea to turn this thread into an internet lingo dictionary for those who might not get it.

For example STFU means shut the fack up  ;)
