Either I have become much better at driving economically or the vehicles I am testing are becoming more efficient: in a week of driving the 2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid, I managed to consume only
slightly over half a tank of fuel, yet I travelled over 600 km.
Colour me impressed, as I achieved an average of 5.7L/100km over the course of the week, as well as during a weekend highway excursion. It didn’t seem to matter how I drove the Camry Hybrid; it returned exceptional results.
I can get used to this type of fuel economy. It makes you want to get out and about as you don’t have to stress over the cost of a driving trip and with the Camry Hybrid you do not give up much compared to a regular Camry, except a little trunk space.
