It is no white van and Halloween is over but this week’s tester, a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse, is still an interesting vehicle in the market. A minivan in the shape of a crossover for those that would rather not drive a minivan.

The Traverse is offered in a few trim levels; LS, LT and LTZ with the option of front-wheel or all-wheel drive. All models are powered by a 3.6L engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

New features for 2015 include revised 18-inch aluminum alloy rims, Siri Eyes Free (for you Apple fans), new exterior colours including my tester’s Sable Metallic and new interior colours: Ebony/Saddle up – which my tester is sporting.

My tester is a 2LT with AWD and seating for seven passengers. Some notable features include the dual-sunroof, rear entertainment package and leather trim design dash.

I was a little surprised by the price at nearly $55,000, although I’m not sure why I was given nearly every vehicle I drive is in this price range. That said my tester does contain a lot of technology and luxury features that justify the price.
