It has been a while since I’ve had a Honda to test — I suppose there are two reasons for that. One of them is that Honda haven’t really had many new products recently, especially when compared to some other brands that are constantly offering new products and updates. And the second being that Honda has a fairly small lineup of vehicles in the first place.

It has been even longer since I’ve had a minivan — the vehicle that is most hated of all vehicles on the market, at least so it seems. Nobody seems to want to drive a minivan anymore, the vehicle that was once the epitome of family transportation has been replaced by the “cool” SUV.
But there is no denying that the minivan still offers the best package in terms of versatility, passenger space and fuel economy. The sliding doors offer the most convenience for those with kids, the third row of seats fold down in a snap and offer space for large boxes or lumber and when you need to seat eight you still have space for luggage.
Although I am a fan of the versatility of the minivan I’m also not much of a fan of the image, but I’ll survive the week in that regard. I’m a little surprised at the lack of amenities in this 2014 Honda Odyssey SE model considering the price — but perhaps I’m just in the dark as to what a minivan costs.
