Blue is a stunning colour on a car and this week’s tester, the Cadillac ATS 2.0L Turbo AWD, sports a very stunning shade of blue, indeed. This car sparkles in the sun (when it isn’t covered in salt) the blue paint combined with the jewel-like headlights and chrome accents really make this car stand out.

I reviewed the Cadillac ATS 3.6 nearly a year ago in March 2013 and at the time I was a little disappointed in a few of the features. Fast forward a year and I’m now driving the smaller turbo version instead of a the large 3.6L V6. This week’s ATS is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged powerplant that produces 272 horsepower and is powering all four wheels.

Both vehicles come out to nearly identical prices and have nearly identical feature sets. Doing some quick research it seems that some packages have gone down in price from 2013 to 2014 while some have increased in price. The net result for my tester, which is a Turbo AWD Luxury edition with CUE, 18-inch wheels and Navigation, is a total price after freight and PDI of just over $51,000.

Since I’ve driven this car before and not too long ago, I like to question myself. Was I nuts the first time I reviewed it? Was I too harsh or too easy on the car? I’ll make sure that any questionable decisions I made during my last review are updated here this week as well as any new discoveries and comments on the 2.0L engine vs the 3.6.

I only just picked up the car and I already remember not enjoying the CUE system that much. Being early February, let’s just say that I wear gloves when it is nearly minus thirty with the windchill and this system simply does not work with them on.
