For 2010, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution undergoes numerous trim changes. The MR now includes the previous optional Premium Package. All models receive several new features, including a new headliner, solar UV control glass, new meter design, chrome accents, and improved washer function.

A new Handling Package, available on the GSR, adds Bilstein front and rear shock absorbers, Eibach front and rear springs, 18-inch BBS forged alloy wheels, Brembo two-piece front rotors, and the larger rear wing spoiler that is no longer available on the MR.

The top model in the Lancer lineup, but with its own specific suspension, the Evolution uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder intercooled and turbocharged engine, producing 291 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. The GSR trim uses a five-speed manual transmission, while the MR comes exclusively with a six-speed twin-clutch Sportronic Shift transmission (TC-SST), an automated manual unit that can be shifted by console-mounted lever or steering wheel-mounted paddles, with manual or fully automatic modes. Both models use Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC), which includes active centre differential four-wheel drive, active yaw control rear differential, active stability control, and sport brakes with ABS. The system splits torque up to 50:50 between the front and rear wheels, using an electronically-controlled hydraulic multi-plate clutch.

Features on the GSR include 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, Brembo brakes, Ralliart-type spoiler, cloth Recaro front seats, colour-keyed door handles and mirrors, fog lamps, leather-wrapped tilt sport steering wheel, aluminum pedals, colour multi-information display, flat wiper blades, floor mats, tire pressure monitoring system, driver’s knee airbag, power windows, variable intermittent wipers, cruise control, keyless entry, and CD/MP3 stereo.

The MR adds full leather seats, 710-watt DVD/CD Rockford Fosgate stereo, seven-inch touch screen, navigation system, Sirius satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, rain-sensing wipers, proximity key, extra sound insulation, automatic xenon headlamps, floor console box lid, wheel-mounted magnesium shift paddles, power sunroof, and insulated front windshield glass. It has no rear wing spoiler.
