NEW FOR 2015:

-‘Edition’ and ‘Exclusive’ trims added

Following two years of more significant updates, Porsche’s Panamera moves into 2015 with two new trim designations. The ‘Edition’ package is available on base models, while an ‘Exclusive’ trim is positioned at the top of the range, displacing the Turbo S Executive as the most, well, exclusive version of this sedan.

Powertrain choices carry over from 2014: base and Panamera 4 models share a 3.6L V6 (310 hp/295 lb-ft of torque). Panamera S, 4S and 4S Executive use the new 3.0L twin-turbo V6 making 420 hp/384 lb-ft. The S e-Hybrid combines a 3.0L V6 with an electric motor for a total of 333 hp/325 lb-ft. GTS trim is powered by a 4.8L V8 good for 440 hp/384 lb-ft. Turbo models use a twin-turbocharged 4.8L V8 that generates 520 hp/516 lb-ft, and Turbo S cars improve those numbers to 570 hp and 553 lb-ft.

A long-wheelbase bodystyle is available on 4S, Turbo and Turbo S models.

Most models use a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, but the S e-Hybrid is the outlier with its eight-speed automatic. Likewise, most variants are all-wheel drive; only the base and S models send power to the rear wheels only.

Base, Panamera 4, S and 4S come with similar standard kit that includes 18-inch wheels, dual-zone climate control, engine auto start/stop, electric parking brake, power trunk, sunroof, automatic rear spoiler, power windows with auto up/down, keyless entry, rain-sensing wipers, heated wiper nozzles and side mirrors, bi-Xenon headlights, multi-function steering wheel, partial leather interior, CDR audio system, cruise control, front and rear park assist, and tire pressure monitoring.

The Panamera Edition is the closest you’ll find to a value-packed Panamera, with 19-inch wheels, air suspension, steerable headlights, auto-dimming mirrors, and ‘Edition’ doorsill logos.

S e-Hybrid models get air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management, power steering plus, auto-dimming mirrors, plus a suite of features like remote cooling and heating, parking location and charge status, all of which can be accessed via a smartphone application.

GTS trim adds steerable headlights, Turbo brakes and 19-inch Turbo-style wheels, Sport Chrono package, sports exhaust with black tailpipes, leather interior with Alcantara trim, adaptive sport seats with memory and a four-way adaptive rear spoiler.

Turbo and Turbo S models get Porsche entry-and-drive, rear heated seats, smooth-finish leather interior, dark walnut wood trim, and an upgraded stereo.

Exclusive Series cars build on the long-wheelbase Turbo S Executive unique leather trim, hand-blended paint and other upgrades. Don’t count on being able to get one, even if you can afford the premium price: Porsche is building just 100 such Panameras for worldwide consumption.
