NEW FOR 2015:

-All-new model

Porsche adds to its crossover portfolio for 2015 with the compact Macan. As the larger Cayenne has structural ties to the VW Touareg and Audi Q7, the Macan is based on the same platform as the Audi Q5.

Trim choices include Macan S and Macan Turbo, and despite the latter’s designation, both use turbocharged engines. In the S, it’s a 3.0L V6 making 340 hp/339 lb-ft, while the Turbo gets a 3.6L good for 400 hp/406 lb-ft.

Both models use a seven-speed dual-clutch (PDK) automatic, and all-wheel drive is standard.

Standard features include 19-inch wheels, dual-zone climate control, engine auto start/stop, 11-speaker stereo with seven-inch display, universal audio interface with auxiliary and USB inputs, Bluetooth, garage door opener, one-touch power windows, rain-sensing wipers with heated washer nozzles, power tailgate, cruise control, four 12-volt power outlets, multifunction sport steering wheel, partial leather/Alcantara trimmed seats, eight-way power front seats, floor mats, bi-Xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, position lights and taillights, automatic headlights, rear side airbags, and knee airbags for driver and front passenger.

Turbo trim gets bigger brakes, navigation, surround-sound 14-speaker stereo with satellite radio, heated 18-way adaptive front sport seats, heated steering wheel, leather-trimmed seating, steerable headlights, and rear side airbags.
