NEW FOR 2015:

-GTS model added

And then there were three: following the latest generation’s introduction for 2014, Porsche has added a range-topping GTS trim line to the Cayman, rounding out the number of distinct trims to a trio.

There are no changes to the base and S trims: they use 2.7L and 3.4L flat-six engines, putting out 275 hp and 213 lb-ft of torque and 325 hp and 273 lb-ft, respectively. The GTS builds on the S, adding 15 hp and seven lb-ft, for 340 and 280 total. All three cars start out with a six-speed manual transmission that can be optioned to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic (dubbed PDK by Porsche).

Standard kit includes electric parking brake, 18-inch wheels, power windows with one-touch up/down, heated windshield washer nozzles, electrically-adjustable and heatable side mirrors, four-speaker stereo with CD player and auxiliary input, Bluetooth, garage door opener, power release for front and rear cargo holds, cruise control, sport seats with electric backrest adjustment, tilt-and-telescopic steering, floor mats, leather-trimmed steering wheel, shifter and door handles, and vanity mirrors.

S models add larger front brakes, 19-inch wheels, bi-Xenon headlights, and an upgraded nine-speaker stereo.

GTS trim gets 20-inch wheels, adjustable suspension (PASM), and steerable bi-Xenon headlights.
