Following a styling refresh for 2013, Mazda’s big CX-9 gets a few running changes for 2014. GS and GT trims share a 3.7L V6 engine that makes 273 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque, and comes mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is an option in GS trim, but comes standard in the GT model.

GT trim adds 20-inch alloy wheels, xenon headlamps with manual levelling, fog lights, power tailgate, navigation, blind spot monitoring system, rear backup sensors, rear cross traffic alert, turn signal indicators on exterior door mirrors, exterior mirror reverse tilt, intelligent key system, 10-speaker Bose premium audio, center point surround sound system, AudioPilot noise compensation system, satellite radio, audio display screen, Bluetooth streaming audio, driver seat and mirror position memory, bordeaux satin interior finish, and armrest with storage box for 2nd row seating.
