An all-new model for 2010, the Lexus HS250h is unchanged for 2011, save for the addition of new standard heated seats, new interior trim, and new colours.
Fitting between the IS sport sedan and ES luxury sedan, the HS 250h uses a 2.4-litre four-cylinder gasoline engine with Atkinson cycle, mated to hybrid synergy drive and continuously variable transmission (CVT). It is front-wheel drive. Trim lines are the Premium and Ultra Premium. The Premium can also be optioned with a Sport Package. Unlike other Lexus hybrids, it does not have a conventionally-powered sibling in the Lexus lineup.
Features on the Premium include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, eight-way power-adjustable heated leather seats, rear bench seat with fold-down armrest, tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, six-CD stereo with auxiliary input and USB port, XM satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, auto up/down windows, electroluminescent gauges, Eco indicator, power meter, auto-dimming rear-view mirror with compass, power sunroof, rear spoiler, heated mirrors with puddle lamps and integrated turn signals, variable intermittent wipers, automatic headlamps, fog lamps, driver and passenger knee airbags, rear seat side airbags, first-aid kit, tire pressure monitoring system, cruise control, garage door opener, and smart key system with pushbutton ignition.
The Sport Package adds 18-inch alloy wheels, sport-tuned suspension, wallet-size smart key, two-tone heated leather seats, aluminum sport pedals with rubber inserts, and illuminated scuff plates.
The Ultra Premium builds on the Premium and adds 18-inch alloy wheels, power tilt and telescopic steering wheel, driver’s side memory, 15-speaker six-CD Mark Levinson premium sound system, heated and ventilated premium leather seats, voice-activated navigation system, back-up camera, bird’s-eye maple trim, auto-dimming heated rear-view mirrors with puddle lamps and integrated turn signals, rain-sensing wipers, automatic adaptive auto-levelling LED headlights with washers, wallet-size smart key, and power rear sunshade.
