For 2011, the G sedan adds two new models: the G25 and G25x. They share styling, interior and chassis with the G37 sedan models, but with a smaller, more fuel-efficient engine. The G37 sedan is only available in all-wheel drive when equipped with an automatic transmission. In rear-wheel drive only, it comes as the Sport 6MT with six-speed manual transmission.
A special limited-production model, the IPL (Infiniti Performance Line) Coupe will go on sale in March 2011. It adds an IPL-tuned 348-horsepower V6, high-flow dual exhaust, sport-tuned suspension and steering, unique aerodynamic styling, 19-inch alloy wheels and sport-style IPL interior appointments.
The G Coupe and Convertible models receive a new front fascia, with the headlights moved to the lower area. A Sport Package is available on the G37 Coupe, while the Coupe and Convertible 6MT models receive navigation. Scratch Shield Paint, which self-repairs small scratches, is standard on all models.
The G lineup consists of sedan, coupe and convertible models. The “x” in the name indicates all-wheel drive; otherwise, the configuration is rear-wheel drive.
The G sedan includes the G25, G25x and G25x Sport Sedan, with 2.5-litre V6 and seven-speed automatic transmission; the G37x and G37x Sport with 3.7-litre V6 and seven-speed automatic transmission; and the G37 Sport 6MT with 3.7-litre V6 and six-speed manual transmission.
The G Coupe comes as the G37, G37x and G37 Sport, with 3.7-litre V6 and seven-speed automatic, and as the G37 Sport 6MT with 3.7-litre V6 and six-speed manual transmission.
The G Convertible comes as the Premier, with 3.7-litre V6 and seven-speed automatic transmission, and as the Sport 6MT with 3.7-litre V6 and six-speed manual transmission.
Features on the G25 sedan include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, bi-xenon headlamps, fog lights, LED taillights, heated mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, aluminum door sill plates, Intelligent Key with pushbutton ignition, front auto up/down windows, illuminated vanity mirrors, locking trunk pass-through, floor mats, electroluminescent gauges, tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, multifunction trip computer, Infiniti Controller with seven-inch colour display, cruise control, eight-way heated leather seats, power sunroof, CD/DVD/MP3 stereo with USB port, XM satellite radio, security system and tire pressure monitoring system.
The G25x adds iPod interface, automatic headlamps, auto-dimming rear-view mirror with compass, rear-view monitor and Bluetooth connectivity.
The G25x Sport adds 18-inch alloy wheels, unique front fascia and side sills, aluminum pedals, sport steering wheel with magnesium shift paddles, and sport seats.
The G37x is equipped similarly to the G25x.
The G37x Sport is equipped similarly to the G25x Sport.
The G37 Sport 6MT adds 18-inch alloy wheels, sport suspension, larger brakes, limited-slip rear differential and sport steering wheel.

The G37x coupe is equipped similarly to the G37 coupe, but the sunroof is optional.
The IPL Coupe builds on the Sport coupe and adds IPL-specific front and rear fascias, side sills and spoiler, unique red upholstery and steering wheel stitching, and “Silk Obi”-finish aluminum trim.
