NEW FOR 2015:

-Redesigned model
-More power for xDrive 50i and X6M models

BMW has redesigned its X6 sport utility into its second generation, introducing sharper edges to the design, and more power to the V8 motors used in the xDrive 50i and X6M models.

Like last year, the X6 line begins with the xDrive 35i, powered by a 3.0L turbocharged inline six-cylinder that makes 300 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, while the aforementioned V8 in the xDrive 50i gains 45 hp and 29 lb-ft, for new totals of 445 and 479. A similar V8 under the hood of the X6M gets an extra 20 hp and 53 lb-ft, for 567 and 553 of each. All three engines use an eight-speed automatic transmission, and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system.

Standard kit in 35i trim includes 20-inch wheels, steerable Xenon automatic headlights, adaptive brake lights, fog lights, heated, auto-dimming, and power-folding side mirrors and windshield washer jets, front and rear park assist, backup camera, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated steering wheel and front seats, power-adjustable tilt-and-telescopic steering, power tailgate, 10-way power-adjustable front seats with driver memory, Dakota leather seat upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, nine-speaker stereo with USB and auxiliary inputs and CD player, and Bluetooth.

Extra stuff included in xDrive 50i trim includes soft-close doors, garage door opener, navigation, and voice control for navigation, telephone and stereo functions.

X5M trim adds 21-inch wheels, M sport seats, heated rear seats, 16-speaker 600-watt stereo with auxiliary and USB inputs and CD player, head-up display, and four-zone automatic climate control.
