NEW FOR 2014:

-No changes

BMW’s little roadster moves into 2014 unchanged, the lineup consisting of sDrive 28i, sDrive 35i, and sDrive 35is models.

28i trim uses a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder making 241 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, which can be matched with a choice of eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmissions. In the 35i trim, motivation comes from a 3.0L turbocharged inline six-cylinder (300 hp/300 lb-ft) that’s available with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, or a six-speed manual. Finally, the 35is model gets an uprated version of the 3.0L turbo rated for 335 hp and 332 lb-ft, and it’s offered only with the seven-speed automatic.

Standard features in sDrive 28i models includes 17-inch wheels, an electro-mechanical parking brake, automatic adaptive Xenon headlights, adaptive LED brakelights, heated side mirrors and windshield washer jets, tire pressure warning, rain-sensing wipers, driver and passenger knee airbags, dynamic cruise control, heated six-way manual front seats trimmed in leatherette, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, audio system with auxiliary and USB inputs, Bluetooth, satellite radio, and an on-board computer with four functions.

sDrive 35i trim adds 18-inch wheels, auto-dimming rearview mirror, intelligent keyless entry, an interior lighting package, garage door opener, Kansas leather-trimmed 12-way power-adjustable sport seats with driver memory and lumbar support, and an 11-speaker stereo with two subwoofers.

Finally sDrive 35is models add front and rear park sensors, an alarm system, auto-dimming side mirrors, M aerodynamic exterior package, heated steering wheel, wind deflector, 14-speaker stereo with media storage hard disc, navigation with voice control, and iDrive.
