Day 4

I certainly was not very impressed this week by the RX 350’s average fuel consumption, as the best I could achieve was 13.0 L/100km. Looking back on my previous test drives, I averaged 9.2 L/100km in the RX 450h in very similar winter conditions.
Compared to other non-hybrid crossovers of similar size, the RX returned what I would consider to be average fuel economy for the conditions but I was expecting better from Lexus in this regard as the 3.5-litre engine used in the RX 350 has proven to be rather impressive in other applications.
As stated on day one, the RX 350 is a great deal at $44,000 but when optioned out to nearly $60,000 you need to keep your options open. I will, however, give the RX high marks for comfort and luxury as it certainly offers its occupants a serene experience.
