Japanese automaker eschewing full electrics for hydrogen fuel cell sedan

When the Consumer Electronics Show starts up in Las Vegas next month, Toyota will have their latest fuel cell vehicle on the show stand for the first time in North America.

After its world debut in Tokyo in November, the Toyota FCV Concept will make its journey across the Pacific. While not a production model, this is the closest you can get to production before deleting some of the more ridiculous features, such as the blue side walled tires and air intakes that have the ability to swallow middle-schoolers.

It’s rumoured a production FCV could have a range of 300 miles (483 km) and be available in 2015 for around $50,000 USD (~$53,225 CAD).
