Recall announced for Mercedes-Benz ML-Class

Ottawa, Ontario – A recall has been announced for certain Mercedes-Benz ML-Class models  for a possible problem with the cruise control.

2000-2002 ML-Class
Vehicles affected: 10,258

On certain vehicles, the cruise control may fail to disengage if the plunger within the brake lamp switch becomes immovable. However, the driver would be able to disengage the cruise control by other means, such as pushing the cruise control stalk towards the instrument cluster, or by applying sufficient brake pedal force to achieve a specified deceleration rate. Dealers will replace the brake lamp switch.
