Toronto, Ontario – The second annual Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup will run in Toronto on September 25 and 26, with owners of exotic vehicles partnering with celebrities to benefit the SickKids Foundation for children’s cancer research, care and treatment.

The event has also launched across North America this year, when the Rally For Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup ran on May 1 and 2 in Los Angeles. The Toronto event benefits the city’s Hospital for Sick Children, one of the world’s top three children’s hospitals. Cancer is the most common cause of disease-related death in Canadian children.

In the 2008 event, Goldie Hawn served as the Honorary Chair in Toronto; the event raised over $1 million for the foundation. Confirmed celebrities for the 2009 event include Adam Rodríguez (CSI: Miami), Eric Winter (Brothers & Sisters, Days of Our Lives), Nadine Velazquez (My Name Is Earl), Robin Antin (The Pussycat Dolls, Girlicious), Roselyn Sanchez (Without a Trace), Sarah Lancaster (Chuck), and Sofia Milos (CSI: Miami). Other celebrities will be confirmed as the event draws closer.

Participating rally drivers must agree to fundraise a minimum of $25,000 to qualify and to draft a celebrity navigator. The rally will kick off with a Celebrity Draft Party on September 25, and on September 26, the drivers and navigators will depart for a rally through the city, followed by a star-studded gala dinner.
