Italian design house has until end of April to find buyer

The design firm responsible for some of automotive history’s most iconic designs has officially entered bankruptcy proceedings, reports Autocar.

Bertone, which has been in business in one form or another for over one hundred years, has until the end of April to find a buyer. If a buyer is not found, the Italian court will sell the design house, possibly in pieces.

In January, Bertone laid off a majority of their staff and only retained essential administrative employees. Laid off workers are continuing to be paid as required by Italian law.
