BMW M4 Will Arrive In North America Without A Clutch Pedal

After four generations of manual M3s, the new M4 will have a dual-clutch automatic as standard equipment.

It seems BMW is going the route of Porsche for the next high-powered M two-door.

When the new M4 arrives at the Detroit Auto Show in January, it will be available with a dual-clutch automatic transmission as standard fare. There will be no manual option.

The M4, which is a replacement for the M3 coupe, will be powered by a new 3.0L twin-turbocharged inline 6. It should make, at minimum, as much power as the outgoing naturally aspirated 4.0L V8, with more torque for more tire burning activities.
