BCAA announces dates of Mature Drivers Workshops

Burnaby, British Columbia – With over 2.5 million licensed drivers in Canada over the age of 65, the average distance seniors drive each year is increasing dramatically, reports the BCAA. Though research shows that age alone is not a good predictor of driving safety or ability, the increased driving exposure of senior drivers means that they are becoming involved in more car crashes and represent approximately 17% of road fatalities.

BCAA Traffic Safety Foundation Mature Drivers Workshops are designed to help mature drivers assess their own driving skills, habits and knowledge in a peer group environment while getting tips and strategies to help change and improve their driving.
