So rather than Cadillac a Traverse, they're going to Cadillac a Trax.

The '14 Escalade starts at $86k though. That's exactly double what a 7-seat Infiniti QX60 starts at. Seems bizarre to me that Cadillac would continue to ignore this segment.

I love the Escalade, I love the Escalade EXT and yes, even the Escalanche does something for me. All the smaller ones based on the Equinox and whatever....they feel like a gussied up cheap vehicle, the Escalade is an actually really nice place to be, an Equinox isn't ever a nice place to be, so sticking a couple of badges and a Bose stereo in it doesn't take away the fact its still a fwd platform CUV.

GM has the Buick Enclave already to go against the Infiniti QX60.
