A bargain is only a bargain if you want the product in the first place...

If you don't want 707 hp, something is wrong with you.

i'm not big on the equating hp/$...

hp is just a number. using it as money for every fraction of a second off average 1/4 mile or something is more useful.

most horsepower is only the kicker if it's actually faster.

but yes.. i want one... or to be more accurate, i want to drive one. (and i'll take more bacon and the small bikini's)
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

No matter how many new threads get started for the Hellcat, it's still AWESOME.

You misunderstand - I want the 707hp, I just don't want the Challenger.

...and I definitely want Jessica Biel's bikini to be too small.

I am not a Challenger fan....but it is amazing how adding 700+ horses to a vehicle makes it very attractive. Thats like being able to to go down to your local sporting goods store and instead of coming home with a .308 rifle, you come home with a Centurion tank....WITH A WARRANTY!!!  ;D

I wonder what the dealer mark-ups will be on these.  It wasn't unheard of dealers charging $10K in excess of the new Corvette's MSRP....and still moving them.

This.  It might 707 HP but it weighs as much as a minivan.  I'm a road course guy, not a 1/4 miler so hence why it's not desirable to me.

Wouldn't buy one with my money, but would take one, just to incinerate a lot of tires with so little effort.  The Challenger was a hum-drum kinda product that needed exactly this.  I'd spend my dough on something lighter with a more dynamic chassis, but it's still a cool car.

To be honest, when the Hellcat is shoehorned into the Charger, I think that's where I'd rather put my money.

yeah, i get people telling me i'm soft or something for wanting 4 doors... it just makes more sense. and if the weight isn't that different, i'll take the one that is more usable.

but whatever. i'm pretty happy with the pricing... i would think you'll get some dealers charging a slight surcharge (including a huge warranty and rust package as mandatory or something)... depending on how hard they are to get... whatever. it's just a car. i think you'll more likely find that dealer owners get these cars, drive them a couple months for fun, then still sell it for list...

Read this on MT today...SRT says the Hellcat at wide-open throttle will drink 1.5 gallons of gas per minute.
