hell, maintenance and fuel for 100000 could be worth more than the truck if gas goes up!

but yeah... would have been smarter to start a program at the start of last month or something letting people know that the 100000th truck would be free.. might sell a few extras that way... feel like its missed advertising.

No it wont. Say $2/l and assume $300 every 3 months for regular maintenance it would be $16,800.

Gas can't be that expensive if 100,000 Ford trucks are being sold a year in Canada.  It's not like I am huge fan any of the trucks (unless you use them, like in the commercials, like we are all cowboys in Texas), it is a little strange to see more being sold though.  Maybe with the combination of the Ranger being gone, and the Ecoboost engine that gives Ford the advantage over the Sierra/Silverado?  Anyway, this won't happen very often, kudos to the charity donation!

I watched my FIL empty his wallet for a $135 gas fillup the other day in his F-150. He said it would take more but it wasn't on empty, just 'low'.

And 100,000 F-Series trucks could carry more than 68,000,000 bricks or transport more than 5,000,000 bales of hay.

...............but 99,000 of them will ever carry so much as a single brick or a bale of hay.

What a big tank

In 1987 it cost me $110 to fill the dual tanks in my F-150 that lasted 5 days.

My previous point exactly.  Which is why I get so much negative carma, the truth hurts. Now, if we really wanted to be smart about alernatives to gasoline, these trucks are perfect for propane.  We have tons of it, it's cheaper, more efficient than gasoline, burns cleaner.  What's the problem? Well the Americans aren't doing it, so we don't really care, that's the problem.

135l...wish I had that big tank, might squeeze 600 km out of the thing then...have heard the 5.0's will (or can) get close to 1000 km on the big tank.  With my average I'd still be lucky to get near 800 driven moderately.
My tank is under 100l, since I usually put in just under $100 to fill it up
It was not bother me much , since I usually buy my lotto tickets when I get gas  ;D
