Nothing like a good doughnut or two first thing in the morning right? Of course I’m talking about making circles in parking lots not the cholesterol filled yummy treats from the store named after a famous hockey player in Canada. This week I’m driving the 2015 Toyota Tacoma in Limited trim with 4×4 – but set on two-wheel drive normally of course.

Now you may ask, why on earth is James driving a Toyota Tacoma? They haven’t updated it or changed it in a dog’s age, well you would be correct but with GM finally updating their Colorado and Canyon, Toyota needs to get this truck out there to hopefully convince you it is still a good offering, before they redesign it for 2016.

For 2015 some colours have been eliminated (brown for example) and some features have been reduced to keep production simpler. My tester is a Double Cab 4×4 Limited with a 4.0L V6. The Limited model is fully loaded with things like leather seats, heated seats, cruise control, navigation and back-up camera.

There are a few things missing that you may want in a $40,000 truck in 2015 including: power seats, height adjustable seating, power rear window, climate control, smart key, blind spot detection or an easy close/open tailgate.

But the Tacoma still looks nice from the outside and the limited trim adds things like chrome side mirrors, chrome door handles, 18-inch aluminum alloy rims, chrome fog light surrounds and Limited badging.
