Latest 2016 NAIAS Teasers: Kia Telluride, Fisker Force 1 and GMC Acadia Heading to Detroit

Keeping a secret in the digital world is turning out to be more and more of a feat. Somehow, some manufacturers will let it slip, like it’s been the case for Volvo and Mercedes-Benz in the past week. Others manage to keep the seal tight until they decide to pop it open. Here’s a look at the teasers the automakers have for us in preparation for the 2016 Detroit auto show.

Kia Telluride Concept

Does this remind you of a Range Rover? This reminds me of a Range Rover. However it won’t be coming from the Old Continent, but rather from South Korea! There’s not much meat on the bone, other than this being an SUV concept that will be found at Kia’s booth in Motor City. And, of course, like any claim by any manufacturer, it will feature “an abundance of new technologies”.

Fisker Force 1

In the midst of a legal battle against Aston Martin over some designs the maker finds way too similar to their own (oh yeah, DB9 and Vantage everyone? By yours truly, Henrik Fisker), the designer has planned a very limited production performance vehicle, as revealed by the Fisker-signed draft. Pricing has been announced at just under US$300,00 and is the promise of a refined, all-American sports car.

2017 GMC Acadia

Something something new Acadia. The competition is fierce in the world of SUVs and crossovers. And the GMC Acadia, introduced 10 years ago, was still on its first generation, despite some minor redesigns through the years. Finally, the dawn of the second generation is on the horizon!
