Toronto, Ontario – Subaru Canada has announced pricing for its 2009 Impreza line-up, including a new, more powerful WRX model. The line-up also includes enhancements to every model, including standard electronic stability control.

The entry-level Impreza 2.5i includes new standard four-wheel disc brakes, Vehicle Dynamics Control, auxiliary input jack and body-coloured door handles, and starts at $20,995. It can be further optioned with a Sport Package that adds a sunroof, Sirius satellite radio, and on the sedan, a body kit, spoiler and exhaust tips for $24,695.

The Imprez WRX is now offered in two models, the 224-horsepower WRX for $30,995, which represents a $2,000 drop over the 2008 price, and the new WRX265, with 265-horsepower engine, new performance suspension and sunroof, for $33,995.

The turbocharged WRX STI is offered solely in a hatchback configuration with six-speed manual transmission and new gunmetal-coloured alloy wheels, starting at $39,995.  With a new Sport Tech Package which includes sunroof, BBS wheels, navigation system and Bluetooth connectivity, the STI is priced at $45,995.
