New fixed-roof F-Type leans heavily on C-X16 concept; new car will get 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder.

The F-Type convertible is almost hitting Canadian roads, and now we have some renders of what the coupe will look like when it starts sale in 2014.

Based heavily on the Jaguar C-X16 concept from Frankfurt in 2011, the F-Type coupe gets the same body as the convertible but with a fixed roof. Slightly different door mirrors, wheels, and skirting will differentiate the coupe from the convertible below the belt line.

It is being reported the new F-Type will sport a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine for the base model coupe. The engine is taken directly from Land Rover where it makes 240 hp.
