Off Road magazine names VW Touareg “4X4 of the Year”

Wolfsburg, Germany – The readers of Off Road magazine have chosen the VW Touareg as the 2004 “4X4 of the Year”. 39.9 percent of readers voted for the Touareg in the “Luxury SUV” category, and it had more than a 20 percent lead over the Porsche Cayenne and the Volvo XC90.

In addition, the Touareg recently received first place in its class in the Australian “World On Wheels Automobile Of The Year Awards”.
