Next Lexus F Model To Lack IS Prefix, Be Based On RC

Performance model will debut at North American International Auto Show next month

The next F car to come from Lexus is fully expected to be a two door affair.

While the new model will be a successor to the IS F, the new Lexus RC is expected to be the recipient of the F badge. However, there is a chance another vehicle could get the F treatment instead.

Speaking with Autocar at the Tokyo Auto Show, Lexus reps said an “LFA-like version of the [RC] concept would be seen in the new year.”

Output is rumoured to be approximately 450 hp from a 5.0L V8.

In addition to the teased model seen above, Lexus is also expected to succeed the LFA with a production version of the previously seen LF-LC.
