Montreal, Quebec – A rally that requires participants not only to drive, but to fix vehicle problems along the way, has started in Calgary and is en route to the finish in Montreal.

The NAPA Rally 5000 pits five teams not just against the clock, but against preset problems in the rented vehicles they are driving. The teams were selected from hundreds of enthusiasts who registered, and can be followed at NAPA Rally.

The teams represent Quebec, the Maritimes, Ontario, the Prairies and British Columbia, all of which saw their vehicles for the first time at the start of the rally.

Online supporters can win some of $20,000 in prizes, including $10,000 in NAPA parts and products, a NASCAR weekend in Montreal, and several others.
