Kia to introduce new Rio
Geneva, Switzerland – Kia Motors of Korea will introduce a new Rio five-door to the European market, although it’s not certain when the car will make its way to Canada.

The five-door is shorter than the previous model, with a longer wheelbase and taller stance for more interior room. It will be available in Europe with the diesel engine that accounts for the majority of European Rio sales and which will probably not be offered for the Canadian market.
The new Rio’s ride is an improvement over the old one, with McPherson struts, gas-filled shocks and power-assist rack and pinion steering with a turning radius under 5 metres. The four-disc brake system will have anti-lock, although this may be an option for Canadian buyers rather than standard equipment.
