Ford have just announced a recall over a parking brake that may not fully engage for almost 8,000 vehicles. There have been no reports of injuries or accidents related to the issue. The recall affects a wide range of models and includes Lincoln.

Vehicles that may be affected were assembled here in Oakville and in Chicago between May 4th to May 23rd of this year. Models include certain 2015-2016 Ford Explorers, the 2015 Taurus, the 2015 Flex, and the 2015 Lincoln MKS and 2015 MKT.

799 vehicles may be affected in Canada, 7,165 estimated to be in the U.S., and only one in Mexico. Owners are being asked to bring their affected vehicles to their local dealership in order to have the technicians inspect and replace the parking brake control assembly at no cost to the customer if required.
