Oakville, Ontario – From now until January 3, 2012, customers who turn in vehicles 2005 and older for recycling will receive incentives of up to $3,000 toward the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.
Since the program was first offered in 2009, Ford’s Recycle Your Ride program has retired more than 50,000 older, higher-polluting vehicles. The company said the program has eliminated approximately 474,308 metric tonnes of smog-forming emissions.
To qualify for the program, buyers should visit a Ford dealer with a 2005 or older vehicle that runs and has been properly registered or insured for the last three months to confirm eligibility. The rebate applies to the purchase or lease of a new Ford vehicle, over and above current incentives.
