Wish you were in Detroit right now for the 2015 Woodward Dream Cruise? Live vicariously through these videos from Dodge’s first (and hopefully annual) Roadkill Nights event on August 12th.

First up, the video below shows Brandon Phillips of Sterling Heights, MI winning a Hellcat V8 engine (yes, just the engine, not the Charger or Challenger model it’s used in) when his 1969 Dodge Super Bee won a drag race against a coal-rolling diesel Ram pickup:

Then there’s this race, which pitted a 1967 Hellcat V8-powered Dodge Dart against a similarly upfitted ’68 Charger called General Mayhem:

This year’s official Dream Cruise events get going Friday, August 14, with an evening classic car parade through the City of Berkley, followed by a street dance and live entertainment.

Also on Friday, the nearby City of Ferndale will host an emergency vehicle show from 1 to 8 pm, followed by the official Dream Cruise ribbon cutting and a Lights & Sirens cruise.

On Saturday, Ferndale hosts Mustang Alley, while the City of Birmingham and Bloomfield Township will each stage classic car shows.

On Saturday, the City of Birmingham and Bloomfield Township host classic car shows all day.
