Burnaby, British Columbia – The British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA) has won the B.C. Medical Association’s Excellence in Health Promotion Award for its community-based Mature Drivers program.

The program’s workshops are designed to help mature drivers assess their driving skills, habits and knowledge in a peer group environment, while getting tips and strategies to help change and improve their driving.

“We are very proud to be recognized by the BCMA for the work that we do,” says Allan Lamb, Executive Director for BCAA TSF. “We implemented the Mature Drivers program just over a year ago, and almost 1,500 people have attended the workshops in communities all around B.C.”
