DaimlerChrysler Canada announces price of 300C SRT8

Toronto, Ontario – DaimlerChrysler Canada announced the new 2005 Chrysler 300C SRT8, powered by an SRT-engineered 6.1-litre Hemi V-8 producing 425- horsepower, will be priced at $49,995. The 300C SRT8 arrives in showrooms this spring.

“The 6.1-litre Hemi found in the Chrysler 300C SRT8 boasts 25 percent more power than the 5.7-litre Hemi in the Chrysler 300C and 69.8 horsepower-per-litre more than that of the legendary 1966 Street Hemi” said Ron Smith, Vice President, Marketing, DaimlerChrysler Canada. “SRT owners regularly use their vehicles for everyday transportation, but as performance enthusiasts, want to be able to put them to the test on some of the world’s greatest roads or tracks. For less than $50,000 Chrysler, 300C SRT8 enthusiasts are sure to be delighted.”

The 2005 Chrysler 300C SRT8 is capable of 0 to 96 km/h (0-60 mph) in the low 5-second range, quarter-mile (400 metre) time in the high 13-second range and 0-160-0 km/h (0-100-0 mph) in the mid 16-second range.
