Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame to open in new location

Halton Hills, Ontario – The Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame has announced its official grand opening on June 10, 2006, at its new location in Halton Hills, Ontario. The new location is west of its previous home at the Canadian National Exhibition, where it was forced to move due to construction of a new soccer arena.

Highlighting the opening will be a celebration for “The Golden Era of Racing in Toronto” to honour Pinecrest Speedway, which has been closed for 30 years, and the CNE Speedway, which closed 40 years ago. Period-era racecars will also be on display. Admission is $5 per car and includes access to the festivities, as well as the museum itself. For more information, visit www.cmhf.ca/findex.html.
